A trip to remember
a Samfu story, snapped by Trixie
Hi everyone! It's Trixie here. Earlier this year, I made a long journey from Singapore to NYC in May for my 9 to 5, and arranged a Samfu shoot at the same time (extra memorable as it was the first time we were able to go on set for our overseas shoot)! Here's a #throwback to my key highlights replaying rent free in my head & places I'll keep starred on my google maps.
SoHo
📍Endless streets of shopping - Grand Street (Baggu), Spring Street (Glossier)
🥯 Pop Up Bagels - piping hot, soft with yummy schmears like truffle butter.
West Village
Where we had our Samfu shoot - we gathered as a small crew at Starbucks Roastery during call time!
🥯 Magnolia Bakery - the banana pudding was worth they hype!
Also try Apollo Bagels
Chinatown, of course
Lots of great eats from brunch spots to street side rice rolls and colourful well, curated shops
Shopping along Spring Street (Susan Alexandra)
The best pancakes at Golden Diner, viet coffee at Bánh by Lauren
Noguchi Museum
Last but not least, a bonus spot I went to was the Noguchi Museum which was slightly outside the main city area. It was 100% worth the traveling out to view the beautiful sculptures and shop the famous Akari lamps.
Till next time, NYC!
